Wonders of Jordan
About Wadi Rum, Jordan
A wonderful vacation to see Jordan’s highlights. Start in Amman, Jordan’s capital with a welcome dinner to meet your traveling companions. Enjoy an excursion to Jerash, the best-preserved Greco-Roman city in the Middle East, and to Um Quais. Stop in Wadi Rum, made famous by the movie Lawrence of Arabia. Highlight is an exciting four-wheel-drive through the desert, and you’ll also receive a keffieyeh, the local scarf. Continue to the “rose-red city” of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk down the Siq, the narrow gorge made famous in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, admire the famed Treasury, and sip tea in a Bedouin tent. Before arriving at the Dead Sea, stops are made in Kerak, to visit the Crusader Castle, and in Wadi Mujib, the “Jordanian Grand Canyon”. From the Dead Sea enjoy excursions to Madaba, to visit St. George’s Church and the Madaba Archaeological Museum, and to Mount Nebo, where Moses saw the Promised Land. A farewell dinner awaits you at your hotel to celebrate the success of your vacation.
